Welcome to Maghaberry Primary School and Nursery Unit. Whether you already have a child at Maghaberry, or this is your first association with us, you are equally welcome.
Our school has earned an excellent reputation over the years, largely due to the wonderful partnerships that we enjoy between our pupils, staff, parents and governors, who together create a culture within the school community which is safe, caring and nurturing.
The children are, of course, at the very centre of what we do. We provide a wide range of engaging and exciting learning experiences, both inside and outside of the classroom and our staff seek to be creative and innovative in the delivery of the curriculum, whilst maintaining very high standards of performance.
We are justifiably proud of our pupils! Behaviour within the school is exceptional as our children consistently demonstrate the highest standards of manners, personal conduct and self-discipline. This is regularly acknowledged by visitors to our school and by those who host our children on educational trips and visits.

Our friendly, caring and motivated staff are dedicated to ensuring our children reach their potential.
The Nursery Unit is a vibrant and exciting environment for our little ones making their first steps in education.
We have an amazing group of parents who work in partnership with the school to raise funds for educational resources to benefit all our pupils.
In September 2022 we opened two new state of the art classrooms and a beautiful resource/learning area. This has been a wonderful addition to our school.
Pupils at our school have access to: large grounds (including extensive grass and play areas, a nature forest, climbing frames), 2 new classrooms, an ICT suite, large multi use assembly hall space, garden areas with polytunnels and much more.
Our wraparound care is provided by Little Munchkins and includes a breakfast club before school and an after school club. More details can be found by contacting Little Munckins directly via their Facebook page or by phone – 07708 545552.
